Badam Milk Recipe

Badam Milk Recipe or Almond Milk is a very nutritious drink for all age group of people. It is high in energy and very refreshing. Best to drink it as cold. So once you make it, keep it in fridge for best taste.

Ingredients for Badam Milk Recipe:-

  • 1/2 cup almonds/ badam
  • 2 cups or 400 ml full cream milk + 2 tbsp milk extra for mixing saffron
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Few strands saffron
  • 1/4 tsp Green cardamom powder

Method to prepare Badam Milk Recipe:-

  • Wash and soak almonds for at least 6 hours and peel the skin.
  • Mix saffron in 2 tbsp of warm milk and set aside.
  • Bring milk to a boil and add saffron, sugar and cardamom powder.
  • While the milk boils, blend the almonds with little water to a smooth paste. And Add this to the boiling milk.
  • Simmer for 7-10 minutes and then turn off the heat.
  • Let the milk come to room temperature and then sieve it through the strainer.
  • Garnish it with some shredded almonds and saffron strands.
  • Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours and serve chilled.

Note:- Instead of adding sugar, you can also add sweetened milkmaid as per your taste.
