Best and Easy Falafel Recipe

Falafel is really healthy and easy to make, but it could be time consuming if you try to make it traditional way. Today we are going to try Best and Easy Falafel Recipe, that you can make real quick with your busy schedule. It is an Middle Eastern recipe, fried balls made with ground chickpea. It is commonly served with Pita Bread. You take the pita bread, and fill it with falafel , some vegetables serve with hummus or Tahini sauce.

Ingredients for Best and Easy Falafel Recipe:

  • 2 cups dried chickpeas
  • 1 finely chopped medium onion
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 3/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt / as per taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Some Vegetable oil for frying


  • Soak chickpeas in cold water for whole night.
  • Next day you will get 4 – 5 cups, as size of chickpeas will be double or so.
  • Drain the water next day.
  • Take the chickpeas, onions, garlic paste, parsley, ginger paste, coriander powder, cumin, flour and salt in a
  • Grind all the ingredients till rough, coarse meal forms.
  • Once the mixture reaches the desired consistency, pour it out into a bowl and stir with fork further a bit.
  • Take oil in fillet and heat it, till its ready for frying.
  • Make small balls of mixture and slowly put them in oil for frying.
  • Fry the balls on medium heat, so it will not get burned.
  • Fry the Balls untill golden brown.
  • If balls are braking while frying, put the mixture in the mixer again and mix it more to get more consistent.
  • Frying will take 2 – 3 minutes per side, so in total around 6 minutes per batch. It will also depend on the size of
    the balls. So always try single patty and note down the time till it gets golden brown.
  • Once the Falafel are fried, take them out over the paper napkin, so excess oil will be socked by napkin.
  • Serve it with some Hummus or tahini sauce.
  • Or you can fill it in Pita bread with some vegetables and sauce.
